Very versatile is an understatement for the Half convEGGtor Stone. If you are in the mood for baking, you make your own bread, calzone or biscuits – but you can also use the convEGGtor stone as an intermediate layer if you want to cook on it indirectly.
Designed to be a ‘no-burn zone stone’ when two are paired, providing maximized cooking space. With a convEGGtor, the smaller diameter means food around the edges can burn. So this is ideal for lower temperature high volume cooking, like with chicken wings. Also, when one half is used for two-zone cooking, it gives you a full half area where you can cook food without worrying about burning. The Half convEGGtor Stone is made of Big Green Egg ceramics.
Please note: when using the 5-Piece EGGspander Kit, only 1 Half convEGGtor Stone will fit the middle layer due to it’s size.

This accessory is only available for the Big Green Egg XLarge. If you would rather have a complete Cast Iron Grid for your Xlarge, you could use 2 Cast Iron Half Grids that together make one.

Pizza, spelt bread, focaccia or a delicious apple pie: you can start your own home bakery using the Baking Stone. Place the Stone on the grid of your Big Green Egg and you will end up with delicious crusty bread and pizzas with a crispy base.
The Baking Stone is one of the favourite accessories among EGG fans. Place the pizza stone directly on the grid (in combination with the convEGGtor) when you ignite the EGG, so it can heat up gradually. As the heat retention of the Baking Stone is very good, you can easily keep pizzas and cookies warm for longer before you serve them (of course, they may well get eaten in the meantime).
